The Thousand Posts Club

I made it! Took me long enough. Does that make me one of the cool guys? ::) 8)

Every time I see someone pop up on this thread, I find myself needing to check my post count (how sad ::)) ... I'm getting pretty close to 5000, though I suspect it will take me a while.

I did the same thing after I posts above and came back to this thread to look at my count.  :-D

Looks like I'll hit 3000 soon.....nothing like the 54,000 I have at allnurses.com    LOL

I've been hanging around there almost 10 years, so yes I do have friends just like I do here.  The last couple of years, I've spent most of my time there talking politics...there's enough conservatives there to edge this liberal on and discuss endlessly politics....prior to that it's any kind of topic, but I spent a lot of time helping new grad nurses and students with their issues.    I did start a vegetarian thread there in May 2008 that's still going, but doesn't get a lot of posts.

Hey, I just noticed I hit 3000 and no one told me!

I do think I should be grandfathered in because I posted probably several thousand on the old boards before the count restarted.

It restarted years ago I think, long before AC joined.  I'm been here since the mid 90's and was very chatty.

Yeah, even after VW boards reopened after being closed for awhile in 2007 we kept our old post counts.
Tweety, here in Spain they would name you the "godparent" of the boards. I think right now you're the "oldest (participating) inhabitant".

I'm happy to the the one whom has been participating the longest....when I first got internet in the 90's and searched "vegetarian" on my WebTV I found this site.......although there was a time when I posted maybe once a month and stayed away for almost a year or two, I've always hung around here.  I also know that I'm chronologically the oldest one that posts on a regular basis these days (if only Bookmama would post more then I wouldn't be...LOL).   I embrace that and mainly leave the discussions for the young folks and hang around the cooking forums.

We had a one board forum back then that was a recipe and help section and a few of us hung around there for years.  There was also another VW board that had more sections but was not part of the main site here,  that eventually was merged with VeggieBoards that kept a count.  There was a woman from Finland that had thousands of posts but can't remember her name.  When I mentioned how many posts she had she went ballistic on me and was horribly insulted as if I was telling her she didn't have a life and she went away in a huff.    I was actually a moderator there and in charge of the health and wellness forum.  It now says I registered in 2003 and I had thousands of posts before then.  Not to worry I'm not a post whore like  Heliamphora is...just sayin'
