Hey Ladies and Gents,
So my former roomate moved out about a month ago and left all her gross chemically enhanced lotions and shampoos and junk. All of these are in plastic containers, and most are about half full if not full of their corresponding liquids. I want to recycle all these bottles but dont want to dump everything into the sink or toilet and such...What should I do?? Dump everything in the water??? :-\ :-\
eek! you could try calling red cross or something similar- i've seen posters before saying they often collect toiletries and such to give to people who cannot afford them or are in some sort of disaster. i don't know if they have a policy about them being unopened or whatever. if they did you could combine two bottles to make a full one, is that wrong? ;D
women's shelters or homeless shelters might still take them if they are opened too. (just tell them you found out you found out youre allergic to some ingredient in them. :))
otherwise, i would compile them together like casha said. maybe put them in a container that you cant recycle anyway.
or go to a remote place in the woods and dump em....
note: im totally kidding. :D :D
haha...boooo darn my old roomate!!
The truth is, if you give them away they will be used and will go down the drain anyway. So, you might as well pour and recycle yourself. This way, at least you know they'll be recycled in the end.
instead of wasting them by throwing them down the drain, you can use them yourself and then recycle the bottles.
You could put the lotions on the counter in your work or school's bathroom for everyone to use up?
