Hey guys!
Please tell me what MOST describes WHY you became veg. I know it is a combination of things, but please pick the one main reason that really compelled you to change.
I am working on putting some marketing/awareness campaign ideas together and I am curious to know what compels the majority to change.
Thanks to all in advance!!
well a book (Skinny Bitch) was my reason to go vegan but animal welfare was the driving factor so that's what i voted for
Hmmmm…maybe I should have set up the poll so 2 answers could be selected, since 2 usually go hand in hand as you describe. Usually someone is inspired/influenced by someone/something that leads to one of those first 5 “main” reasons being the driving force. It won't let me change the vote options now though since there are already results.
BTW, I know there are already many awesome threads on this topic like AC's "Why did you become veg*n, initially?" , but I'm looking for a statistical result to put everyone's responses into numbers.
Thanks again, and sorry if this is more confusing than quick!
not confusing!
I went veg*n initaly out of health reasons, afterwards it became more of animal rights and compassion.
Just bumping for peeps who missed this & haven't voted yet!
:)
When I originally went vegetarian I started because I read the autobiography of Gandhi. He spoke a lot about self control and a lot about vegetarianism and that got me interested so one day I decided to try it and stuck with it. After reading that, and becoming vegetarian as well as becoming exposed to the animal rights world I went vegan because to me it made sense. I read a lot and listened to a lot of bands (and still do) which speak about animal rights and one day I said to myself "why haven't I done this earlier".
