Hey Wendie, Olive is adorable! She looks a lot like one of my rescues, Roxie! Just like your Olive, one of her favorite hobbies is digging! I've never seen anything like it. She has some pretty impressive holes going on out in my woods. I found Roxie on my street. She gave birth to a litter of puppies a few days later (who &$%^#^%& dumps a pregnant dog?). I originally adopted Roxie out, but the woman's other dog started to pick on Roxie so much that she started to worry about her safety when she was not home, so I took her back. I'll post her pic here. You can see her puppies in my gallery. They were all adopted....one day I want to organize a little "reunion" for Roxie and her babies. I wonder if they'll all remember each other?

You're right, Davedrum, they do look alike. Tofuttibreak said she looks happy and she really is. I can tell she loves her home and she's really devoted to me. Warren Ekstein who does The Pet Show on radio, says a rescued dog is so grateful to its rescuer and will repay you every day of its life. I think this is very true.

What beautiful dogs!!!!!!! You all are so lucky to have great companions. My baby silky terrier is such a great companion too. I love animals and their carefree nature. Their so innocent and playful. It's just like a quote I read, "Dogs are just kids with fur." ;D

You know this is true even of cats. My beloved Saul was rescued from a "cat lover" who didn't take care of him at all and he never once scratched me voluntarily or ever gave me trouble, though I expected him to be half feral from the life he had led. Even the vet commented on it repeatedly, how laid back and gentle he was. He was just so grateful to live in peace! He would never leave the apartment of his own free will. So when we rescue animals we get double returns...we've saved a life AND gained unconditional love and gratitude!
