I am attending a memorial service this weekend. I have a question about appropriate attire, well shoes. Are open toed shoes O.K. or should I go with a basic closed toe shoe instead? I don't want to look disrespectful in any way. Thanks for the help!
I think open toed shoes are ok. I don't think most people will really notice shoes. I'm sure you would wear tasteful shoes.
I agree with ac, open toe shoes are fine.
i recently went to a funeral and stressed about what to wear for it, complete with buying new shoes 20 minutes before it started (i only own a few pairs of shoes none of which dress up). When i got there i saw some people terribly under dressed... But no one cared, everyones presence and support was very appreciated. After this experience i would say don't stress about it and go with the open toe.
Open toe are ok.
Thank you SO much, ladies! I really appreciate your input! I've been stressing about this all week. Jess, I had to buy new clothes and shoes because I only own 2 pairs of faded jeans and 2 pairs of shoes; sneakers and flip-flops. I've been dragging my hubby out ever night this week trying to put together and appropriate inexpensive outfit. You guys made me feel a whole lot better!
