The death-resurrection mythology of the Christian Easter holiday is a beautiful, Universal concept that is shared by many other beliefs. I think it's grand. :)
Sanvean and I personally experienced minute spiritual death and mindbody renewal/rebirth very recently, and I am excited to celebrate this new "year" as well. usually Springtime brings a reawakening of my senses and my spirit, but this year was especially notable. I'm resurrected from a kind of death, and I've come out a whole new person!

Being from the Midwest myself, I understand how spring fits into the Resurrection story...everything takes on new life... :)>>>
Yesterday was hectic...I was simultaneous translating for a person who was talking a mile a minute and wasn't concerned about my getting all of it...to a person who is about to give birth any day now...and I realised later she'd spent most of the time asleep anyway....
But I did my best, which is what was required.
Looked righteous in me new suit, too! ;D
We don't have Easter eggs etc where I live, which is just as well. But it was a nice day. Beautiful weather and my new shoes didn't hurt my feet a bit. I walked 4 km in them.
Not a traditional celebration, but a lovely day with friends anyway.
