hey guys :)
we're coming to new york later on this year and thought we would stay in brooklyn rather than manhattan this time..... anyone live there? any one know it well? where is good to stay? we would like to be close to eateries/bars for the evenings (vegan friendly a bonus!). its only for 3 nights before we head to philly but it would be nice to be somewhere nice.
hope youre all well :) bb:)
you simply can not cover ny in three days.
greenwich village lots of places to eat. ease to stroll.
whats your hit list look like?
I think we are going to go to the Sackler Museum, maybe to the MOMA, definitely a good wander round the village and my usual haunts like strand books and the angelica home kitchen. We are only staying for such a short time as we will spend the rest of our trip in Philadelphia with my family there. I think when we come out in spring we will stay for longer in NY. Its so tough having to chose somewhere to stay, usually when I travel alone to the USA I stay with friends or family in NY but cos it is 2 of us we thought we should pick a hotel/hostel/B&B.
I'm from Philly, where are you headed to there?
my family live in torresdale, basically half way on the r7 train to trenton. where abouts are you?
Torresdale is in the far north east section of philly I believe? I'm not familiar with the NE section of philly at all because I'm pretty much in the opposite direction. About halfway up the R3 Media/Elwyn line.
Blossom in Chelsea is the best restaurant I have ever been to in my life, and it's completely vegan. It's a tad pricey, but completely and totally worth it. They make the best seitan on the planet, and the sauces are.. ugh i'm starting to drool just thinking about it!
