OMG, I knew it, I just knew a thread like this would be waiting for me. :-D
I has a lover. :) (Did that sound cheezy?)
My new man, who shall be known as P, works at my store, and is 14 years older than me. He recently got divorced, and he has two daughters. As it turns out, he'd had his eye on me for more than a few weeks. I always found him easy to chat with, although we never had much time, working in different departments. One of the things we talked about is nice beer, and he'd lightly suggested we get together for a few drinks sometime. No actual plans were made until last week, when I told him that I'd given my resignation and would be leaving. I think he didn't want to let me get away that easily, because he got up the courage to really ask me out.
Now, I shall pause to mention that my brainstinct would have been to run and hide and say "Oh, um, can we try being friends first?" But I'm very glad that I didn't. I'm kind of riding my intuition in this situation. In other words, winging it, and doing what feels good. P is a really fun and nice guy, and although we've only known each other a short time, my intuition tells me I can trust him.
Which is why our date on Sunday morning involved much more than holding hands and talking. :busted: P was powerfully attracted to me and not afraid to show it, and I went along with some kissing and smooching to see how it felt. It felt goood, so we messed around some more, all the while walking and talking in the quiet botanic gardens. Until we found ourselves under a beautiful weeping elm... which mostly hid us from prying eyes... and things got kind of ^-^ !! Yeah. And then we had souvlaki for lunch, and walked back towards home for me, and work for P.
So that was the first date, and then there was Tuesday night. We went bowling, which was rather fun, especially because P is a bit of a champion and a good teacher. We wandered into town and got some foodz, and had a beer. Then we hopped on a bus and went to his place, where I stayed the night.
Now, you may be thinking that this happened awfully fast, but as the first date illustrates, we are both very attracted to each other, and I couldn't see any reason* not to have some fun.
And fun it was. Details on request. 8-)
* K is almost out of the picture, and I don't feel that I need to be loyal to him since our fucked-up break-up. ::)

Well Amen to that!
I laughed at "And then we had souvlaki." Teehee!
What's he like? Appearance/personality-wise?

I had a feeling you might object to that. ;D Not sure what else to call him, though... P2?
What's he like? Appearance/personality-wise?
He's tall and slim, with blue eyes and short, very-slightly-strawberry blond hair. I'm not sure how to describe his face except... kinda goofy looking. I mean that in a good way - his face shows how much he likes to smile and laugh. He's cheerful much of the time, and his positivity makes me want to improve my complaining habits (about life in general... I've been a bit depressive/bitchy lately). He likes interesting TV shows and movies, enjoys tramping and camping (yay! we can go together!). What else? Has a generous and considerate nature, and a naughty side also. Seems open-minded and curious (like me). Heheh.
So yeah... it seems like I have an awesome friend and a lover rolled into one. ;)b

Yeah, I moved in with K, my first bf, in June. A couple of weeks ago, I found out that he has a fiancee coming to NZ from Iran. It's not exactly an arranged marriage, but similar. We're still kind of sharing a room while he gets his shit together and finds somewhere else to live. I hope this sitch doesn't drag on much longer.
Meanwhile, since last Sunday, I've been, ah... getting to know my new fellow, P a.k.a. :). ;)b
