Often not enough to be a recipe, I'd love it we could share some of the weird and unexpected food combinations that we love.
Here is my recent favourite: roasted chickpeas in cereal (they are hard and crunchy)
;D
definately dill pickle slices on my crunchy peanut butter sandwich
-lettuce
-whole wheat noodles
-vegan ranch dressing
-assorted vegetables
love it :D
one of my friends eats hot cheetos dipped in ranch dressing.. :o
i don't know if this is weird, but i like to make bowls full of different mix-ins for late night snacks when i do not know what im in the mood for.
for example, a pumpkin pie theme
- pumpkin puree (warmed with vanilla soy + cinnamon + nutmeg + pumpkin pie + maple syrup)
- crushed gingersnaps
- cashew butter
- pure maple syrup
- dried cranberries
or a monkey business theme
- mix of favorite cereals
- vanilla soy milk (or vanilla soy yogurt)
- pb and co dark chocolate pb or maple pb
- chocolate chips
- sliced banana
Brookeisthebest, those both sound amazing!! I might have to make me a pumpkin pie bowl tonight!!
Wasabi ice cream in a chocolate cone.
The End.

..that actually sounds good.
Harvard Beets on mashed potatoes. Yummmm.
Ok, thread's too long to check and see if anyone else mentions it. When I was in college a lot of girls would get a glass of milk and then pour Coke in it. The idea sets my teeth on edge. Has anyone ever tried it? Can you report?
In my starving omni student days, I used to work at the "County Home." I would arrive at 8 AM and the nurses' breakfast extras would still be sitting in the steam tables. I ate cold fried or poached eggs on toast with grape jelly all summer. Apparently that was weird (and not vegan, I know.)
I also dropped orange segments into freezing cold water and ice, let them sit and watched them plump up, and then ate them. I would then drink the water.

that was something Laverne and Shirley used to drink on that old sitcom. I had a friend that drank it but not me...*insert vomit smiley*

Hey, I just noticed this! I used to do this!
I love mashed boiled turnip with marge and salt...mix with mashed potatoes if you must. Usually here you must since Spanish turnips tend to be very watery.
Not sure if this counts as a "combination" since I don't mix them together, but eating cantaloupe while drinking coffee is really good.
YG, milk with coke sounds terrible. :o
I once put ketchup on my mashed potatoes, and they got all pink - I thought it would be a good idea at the time... but don't do it. It's not good.
My first flatmate was the king of weird food combinations. Among his more interesting ones were:
Lime Jelly crystals (Jell-o for you American lot) in black coffee
Black Sambuca mixed with milk
basically anything that should never be put together...he would put it together and decide that the combination was awesome.

HUH!?!?!?
a new favorite bowl! sliced bananas, vanilla soy milk, and crumbled oatmeal raisin cookies (and best warmed up!)

HUH!?!?!?
Oh yeah! As a kid I used to just open the box of jello and eat the crystals with a spoon. This will ALSO turn your tongue the colour of the crystals, mind, so it's kinda hard to fib that it "wasn't you" when Mom misses the Jello later.
Sprinkle it on icecream, too.

I see your HUH and raise you an EW! ::)
Jeez, kids come up with odd enough combinations, but that one's an adult oddballity. Cuz of the coffee...

lime and coffee sounds very.....huh?!-inducing, but to each their own..
I used to eat uncooked ramen noodles when I was little sometimes. Haha. The kind that came in a brick in a package. I hated that stuff cooked, though :p

Once a friend ate dry ramen noodles for breakfast, including the flavour sachet... I think it dehydrated her stomach, 'cause by mid-morning she was bringing it all back up. ::) Uck. The things teenagers try.
