weird food combinations that are so good!

Often not enough to be a recipe, I'd love it we could share some of the weird and unexpected food combinations that we love.
Here is my recent favourite: roasted chickpeas in cereal (they are hard and crunchy)
;D
Peanut butter topped with molasses and sprinkled with nutritional yeast on toast or english muffin (I learned of this somewhere on vegweb and now I love it too!). Packed with nutritional punch and great for expecting mamas!
i'm boring.
i don't eat weird food combinations.
but my favorite salad is spinach, strawberrys, and almonds.
my brother thinks its disgusting that i would ever think to consume that.
grilled cheese with jelly. mmmm. i made the grilled cheese out of the uncheese cookbook and smothered it in jelly i missed it so much.
the lowest of the low
the veganaise, potato chip, siracha burrito
this isnt too weird but i love potato chips inside my pb & j sandwiches.. preferably ones like ruffles, mmm. makes me want one now - it's been forever!
As a kid it was scrambled eggs and maple syrup! :P
Today...well I'll put miso on anything that doesn¡'t get away fast enough... ;D

crunchy in sandwiches is always delicious
i think thats why I load my veggie sandwiches up with so many sprouts...same sort of crunch
I, too, put miso on EVERYTHING.
I've eaten soy "delicious" (I put that in quotations because I don't think it's that delicious, lol) ice cream with chips. The chips make it taste better as dip rather than ice cream.
• Tortilla & Vegan Cheese melted, with organic Ketchup! yummm (or grilled cheese with ketchup).
Some people tell me that my french fries with onions is a weird combo. But, to me it seems pretty cool. 8) Now, who wants a kiss?! :-*

I used to make scrambled eggs with mashed up bananas and everyone thought that was weird! The yellows blended together and there was this banana-y flavour...mmm...I do miss that.

Oh wow! That sounds surprisingly good. I will have to try this!

Your salad sounds pretty fantastic to me, chickpea! I really love sweet additions to salads. Strawberries are also good in more savory dishes. I have heard of people marinating strawberries in vinegar (probably red wine vinegar) for desserts. I have always wanted to try that.
Wegweb has recipes for peanut butter and pickles, peanut butter and carrot, and peanut butter banana and veganaise sammiches. :P
I really like ketchup. I put it on everything. Sometimes I put it on salad...
peanut butter with salad.
"cream cheese" and "turkey"(deli slice) sandwiches
avocado and peanut butter
mixing sour "cream" with ketchup
i sprinkle oreos or other cookies on my soy ice cream... i guess that's not *too* weird
to make scrambled eggs, i mix these into tofu: a little mustard, melted earth balance, vegenaise, and a little nutritional yeast. me and the omni bf swear the vegenaise and margarine make it taste "eggy". (yeah, and it means i'm frying mayonnaise)
my boyfriend loves pasta, and he loves refried black beans... and then he got this crazy idea. it was too heavy to me, but he loves it (refried black beans mixed with pasta sauce).
Am I the only weirdo that spreads mayo on Romaine lettuce leaves, rolls them up and eats them? Especially cold and crisp, just out of the fridge?
I LOVE avacados straight up with a little salt and pepper. I didn't do this until I went vegan and discovered how so dang yummy they are :D
Right now, I'm lacto-veg. I was hungry and lazy, so I made a grilled cheese with pickles slices inside it. I don't know why I did it, but it tasted really good. This works great with dill pickle slices.
I make a sandwich with tofutti cream cheese, apricot preserves, and caramelized onions. I'm also a madwoman with lime vinaigrette salad dressing, I'll put it on anything!

strawberries and balsamic vinegar. you can reduce the vinegar by heating it and make it more syrupy to pour over ice cream, etc. and add a dash of black pepper. soooo yummers!! :P

I won't eat a grilled cheese sandwich without pickles! Big garlic dills... oooh my mouth is watering!
I've never heard of PB on salad!!
Hummus on salad is great too.
And another strange thing is putting hot chocolate powder in a cup of milk, mixing it up a bit and eating it with a spoon. This only really works for the grainier types, & with chocolate Hemp Shake powder.
And apple buter on plain oats and eating it just like that, no need for making it into oatmeal.
