Were having the traditional stuff. Nothing elaborate or pecular here.
I did have KFC one year while my grandfather was having chemo treatments at a university hospital four hours away from me. That was his last Thanksgiving too.

then saute some onion, garlic
How much onion and garlic? (Like, 1/4 of a small onion / 1 clove garlic?)
not too much...I usually do about 2-3 Tb of chopped onion, then I use minced jarred garlic, but probably a clove would be good.
I am SOOO not motivated to cook today! I guess I just cook so much all the time and now that its expected of me I'm not in the mood. I decided against the spin-art dip (might make it tomorrow since I already made the cheez part). I decided against pumpkin pie, just because I didn't feel like it. I did make a pecan pie-its in the oven. I forgot to pre-bake the crust, so I am worried its all going to be mush. Pretty soon we will put our celebration roast in the oven. I am looking forward to that. And I didn't have to make it! I am seriously cranky today. DOn't know why!

We had tofu spanakopita, sweetpotato-peanubutter soup (Moosewood recipe) with chopped green onions, dressing, my family's traditional Czech sweet and sour cabbage, orange cranberries, salad with slivered almonds and dried cranberries, vegan pumpkin pie and the pecan pie I found a recipe for here on VW--turned out great, btw. Oh, and a green bean/cashew/onion pate for crackers as well. No complaints other than feeling like they ate too much from omni parents, and I was doing a jig that DD13 made the spanakopita, orange cranberries and pumpkin pie herself this year!
The only problem with our holiday was that one of the greyhounds bounced onto my mother while she was sleeping during the night.

oh my goodness, Sarah, I wish I'd been at your Thanksgiving. That food looks delicious!
I was the only vegan among three other omnivores, but fortunately family was kind enough to make many, many veggies for me to choose from. I didn't really have a main dish, but I was more than satiated with my plate full of sides. I had grilled yellow squash, green beans with stewed tomatoes, glazed carrots, vegan stuffing (I hate stuffing, but I wanted to be polite since they went out of their way to ensure it was veggie), red potatoes, and a little bit of pumpkin pie for dessert. Not too bad. :)

Spinach dip (not the cheezy one with artichoke, it's just sour cream, soup mix and spinach.
Everything was awesome. Today I will make the spinach artichoke dip and photograph :)

L2A, is that the Hazelnut Cranberry Roast, or did you wrap the Celebration Roast in pastry? I was tempted to try it, but I like the regular Celebration Roast so much, I decided to stick with that.
