Chili recipes?

Now that the weather is getting a little cooler and it is beginning to look like fall outside...  I am in the mood for some serious chili!

Can anyone recommend a fabulous chili recipe?  There are so many tasty looking ones on the site, I feel a little overwhelmed.  I want to include TVP or "burger" style crumbles, and a nice variety of beans.

Any ideas?  ???

there's a Three-Bean, Cornbread Chili Stuffed Pumpkin recipe on the iron chef challenge thing... if you make it, post a pic!  :)

Ungreen's "Ennui Chili" is fantastic! It's different than the usual Texican-type chili con "carne"...the green beans and corn make it different and good.

I just throw crumbles, cans of diced tomato, three to four cans of different beans, chopped celery, garlic, chopped onions, and whatever else (spices, etc) into a crock pot for the night.

It's sweet to wake up to such good smells.

Ultimate Vegetarian Chili is easy, delicious, and received many compliments when I served it to a bunch of omnis at a church potluck:

I'm a fan of this one.

And if you need a really quick and easy one, Fatastic makes a very passable chili mix. Which goes nicely with smart dogs.

I quite enjoyed the Ultimate Vegetarian Chili as well, although I made a few changes to the recipe!  Do read the comments as there are some interesting additions, suggestions.

This is what I do.  I am just guessing on the amounts though.

Cook 3 cups red beans
Pour out water, rinse
Add about 1/2-1 cup tomato sauce
Top with 1/4th a packet chilli seasoning (from the packet...many are vegan if you check)
Add 1/2 cup TVP
Cook until TVP is brown

Eat up!

I like the fantastic chili mix its quick and easy and you can use it just as chilli or a pepper stuffing or potato topping...

Sounds like what I do too except I omit the garlic and add corn, zucchini and jalapenos.  Oh, and I about triple the amount to chili powder and cumin because I like my chili really spicy.

Lately I've been into making the sweet potatoe and black bean chili from this site. Pretty easy, can of tomatoes, can or 2 or 3 of black beans, a few good, peeled parboiled sweet potatoes, lime juice and zest, cilantro and spices. Sometimes I throw in some spinach for fun. I'm also a big fan of putting cinnamon and cocoa powder in my chili/sauces. Oh and you might want to add some extra fresh tomato, or some jarred tomato sauce/paste to thinken it.

Lastly, a chili eaten without tortilla chips is no chili of mine  ;)

*resurrection thread has come back from the dead to bug you all with annoying questions*

I'm super excited because I'm cooking for all my husband's mates on Friday night, all omnivorous, but they went along with the idea of exchanging their love of dead animal flesh for their love of free food and so I get to cook vegan.  It's the middle of winter and fairly bleak, so I want to do a chilli, but am having trouble deciding on a recipe.  I dredged up this thread, but wondered if there was any new advice on a super-tasty chilli recipe that goes over well with omnis... help?

Ive been rereading the thread about the Traeger grills and I realized that Ive never had a really good recipe for how to cook a rack of ribs from start to finish.

So, if any of you guys from Texas, Tennessee or anywhere else have some really good recipes on how to prepare the ribs, sauce, etc., I would love to have them.

Thanks

Kareseine, do you realize you are on a vegan website? Meaning the only ribs we make are from Seitan, Tempeh or Tofu?  And just what would ribs have to do with Chili recipes?!  I am so unsure if this is a real post or trolling.
