benefit for Greyhound rescuer

Hi all,
I wanted to post this because I know a number of you are *somewhat* local to Western North Carolina (and even if you're not, a vacation for a good cause would be fun!)

This woman runs a greyhound rescue group and is the nicest, most selfless giver of her time, money and energy to a group of animals that we (as humans) have simply screwed over.  She is also my accountant and is she not is good shape.  I am worried about her and her animals.

Anyway, we are having a benefit for her and her dogs next week.  If any of you think you'd be interested, you may contact me at: raika at inorbit dot com

NETWORKING BENEFIT LUNCHEON AND SILENT AUCTION THURSDAY FEB 8th 11AM-1PM
Local businesswoman and greyhound dog rescuer, Millicent Smith was recently diagnosed with lung cancer and cannot work. My goal is to bring together the community to raise $5000 to cover medicines, the mortgage and care for Millicent's beloved animals.

PLEASE JOIN ME IN THIS EFFORT by attending this event, bringing a friend and purchasing an item from the silent auction. JUST $25 buys your ticket which includes a wonderful hot lunch from premiere Asheville caterers, THE COLORFUL PALATE.

This will be a great opportunity to meet new people, talk business and support a local entrepreneur in need. Bring lots of biz cards!
Please purchase and pay for tickets by Friday Feb 2nd; Contact Us

Though I've never been much of an animal person (really), I have always loved and wanted a greyhound. They are beautiful and so mistreated. Anyhow, I think it's absolutely wonderful that you are sharing this with us. . .aside from locals that can attend, will they accept mailed in donations? Is there an address . . .
