Well, you could launch it out of a catapult. Then gravity would technically be doing the killing.

BUT!

I'm thinking you just take the lil' feller to a wooded area and let him go.

Then RUNRUNRUN before he gets you!

I am deathly afraid of mice. I see one, I scream & run. We had an infestation in the garage last winter. Hubby set humane traps, then took the mice for a ride in the truck & let them go in a field  :) He managed to relocate all of them....at least I think they're all gone. I haven't seen any in a while ???

I'm holding one in my hand right now.  :) His name is Fred and he says, "Don't kill them". :'(  When he escaped people suggested a humane trap called havahart. ( I have 12 more mice...I love them..just kissed a mouse! :D)

How can anyone be afraid of mice?  They are so darn cute with their little twitching whiskers and beady black eyes.  But they are also so darn destructive.  I don't have to worry about them, however, I have two cats!  I even don't have to worry about insects too much, Sidra eats them too.  So I suggest this: get a cat.  My mom used to have mice problems at her house...until I came over and stayed a month with my two cats, now no mice problem...it was amazing.  See if you can borrow one from a friend for awhile.  Cats love mice!

I live in brazil.. so we are talking little- or actually big- grey and black mice that carry diseases.. ya'll do 'member that rats started the Bubonic Plaugue? oh and um.. brazil isnt too interested in helpig a nimals... no shelters... no notthing... if a dog catcher catches a dog..i think they kill it after  a month if no one claims it ( wherever there are dogcatchers anyways, cuzi havent seen any where i live) so like.. i really dont think they woudl have humane traps.. so yeah. i dunno.. could i MAKE one?

beccalynn, for some reason the mice in the garage would find a way into our recycle boxes but they could never get out. Maybe put some food inside something that they cannot chew their way out of, then have some one else take the mice away.

snowqueen, I wish I knew why I was afraid of something that only weighs a few ounces. I don't find them cute at all. Remember the old cartoons of a lady on the kitchen table, with a broom, screaming "a mouse, a mouse"?  :-[ That is me

you can order a humane trap online; I got one (not the green one) at a regular hardware store. Before I figured that out, I did this:

http://www.smithsax.btinternet.co.uk/products.htm

It worked, but I used a cardboard box the first time and the little guy chewed out a perfect circle to escape! Use metal or plastic. When the trap is down, slide something underneath (piece of cardboard, cookie sheet, etc) so the mousie doesn't escape (eek!)

There's also this:

(never tried it)

This one looks pretty clever:

Some people are just afraid of mice. When I had the mouse problem, I was at school, and my friend who lived there was waaaaaay afraid of mice (I thought it was hilarious). She was the first person to discover that our mice could jump vertically in excess of two feet O_O

Why hasn't your cat caught the mouse yet?  mine would have caught it by now :)

A vegan shouldn't go out looking specifically to kill something but that's my opinion though.

If it comes into your home that's a different story I would say. I feel sorry for them to but you just can't be living with mice.

I know you guys don't like mice, but this is soooo cute....
Two of my mice just love to jump. They look like popping popcorn and if their wasn't a lid on their cage I'd imagine they'd get some real height.  ;D
