Help, need soy sauce substitute

I'm just starting to make dinner and my recipe calls for at least 3 tablespoons of soy sauce. I just took mine out of the fridge to see that I have MAYBE 1 tablespoon. Is there something I can use or whip up to substitute this? I can't run to the store now. Thanks!
Eh, just use what you've got. If you need liquid, add water or broth. Add more salt than you would otherwise.
Or you could use about 1 tsp of miso mixed with a couple of tablespoons of water.
Either way, it'll be fine.
What's the recipe? I can think of a dozen subs, like hot sauce, ketchup, vegan Worcestershire sauce, just adding a bit more salt, etc. etc., but they obviously don't all fit into every recipe.
it's the general tao recipe. I think I'll use what I got and the miso idea is a good idea too!
A ha... I was going to say, the only time you might really be in trouble would be for an Asian recipe. I think the miso is a good idea, or if you've got any other Asian type sauces- hoisin or whatever.
