Weekly Giveaway: The Wild Vegan Cookbook! NextGenMan is the winner!

Sometimes, before shopping day, it can really feel like you're foraging for food in your own house. Well, Wildman Steve Brill takes it a step further, and forages for foods in our backyards. And our neighbors backyards. And all over the city. In The Wild Vegan Cookbook: A Forager's Culinary Guide (in the Field or in the Supermarket) to Preparing and Savoring Wild (and Not So Wild) Natural Foods (http://www.amazon.com/Wild-Vegan-Cookbook-Supermarket-Preparing/dp/1558327215), Wildman Steve (hehe) shows us how to find the tastiest vegan foods all over town, usually at no cost to us! Seriously, I thought this guy was nuts until I read more about it, and it turns out he's perfectly sane and saving tons of money on groceries. That extra dough could really come in handy around the holidays, right? Even if you're not ready to dumpster dive, he's got tons of fabulous recipes that'll impress even the pickiest holiday dinner guest.

For your chance to win a copy, let me know what your favorite Thanksgiving side dish is!

Giveaway ends on Tuesday, November 16th at midnight, PST! Winner will be chosen at random, must live in USA to win!

Good luck!

Stuffing is my first love but wild rice pilaf and homemade cranberry sauce are a close second.

That book looks super cool by the way, I've been itching to learn more about foraging and wild edibles.

This book looks awesome. I've been on wild herb walks before and found alot of plants I never though to eat.

Well anyway...my fave holiday side dish would be" Mama Koala's Vegan Mac and "Cheese" from this site. The holidays are the only time I will indulge in such a yummy cheesy treat.
