Weekly Giveaway: Vegan Etsy Grab Bag! VeganRun is the winner!
One of my new year's resolutions is to spend less money in big box stores. I don't know how many times I've spent the evening wandering around Target like a zombie, looking for a last minute gift or a new sweater. Well, no more in 2010. This year I've resolved to buy almost everything either second-hand or from small businesses. Living in a large city, that should be fairly easy for me to accomplish. However, for those of us who want to be more socially responsible but don't have access to much other than mega chains (or ahem, are too lazy to leave the comfort of our couches), there is Vegan Etsy (http://www.etsy.com/shop/VeganEtsy). Vegan Etsy is an online wonderland of completely vegan arts and crafts; I'm talking jewelry, clothing, household goods, and more. For Valentine's Day, they even have heart shaped cakes, check it out: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=38883078. I just died.
To enter to win a bag, let me know what your favorite sport is (this will make sense when you read the weekly newsletter!)
Giveaway ends on Tuesday, February 2nd at midnight, PST! Winner will be chosen at random!
Good luck!
I'd have to say bowling. It's not as exciting as some of the others but I can still participate.
Does Yoga count?
I love to walk. Does that count as a sport? I don't watch sports very often but when I do my favorite by far is roller derby.
i love to watch the rodeo, love to hike
uh...does bellydance count? :-)
swimming!
Watch: Baseball. Participate in: running!
Squash!
My favorite sport is running! I started doing it a few months ago and love it!
Equestrian, hands down. I love my horses more than life itself.
Is riding through 30 states covering over 14,000 miles and enjoying 13 National Parks on my Russian built Ural motorcycle and sidecar in 2009 a sport??? That would be my favorite if it is.....

Otherwise, I'm not much into watching sports, but I'd have to say golf would be my favorite. For myself, it would be bicycling in the warmer months and walking and jogging on the treadmill in the colder months. 28 miles last week and 30+ miles this week. Least favorite sport??? Shoveling the relentless snow!!
Gary - In a Little Town in Northern NY
It's a tie! Basketball and hiking!
I am not a sporty person but I like tennis a lot. I wish I had a way to play it more often.
Running.
And even though it's not a competitive sport, it's exercise: bellydancing.
Swimming is my sport of choice for playing. But it's not much of a watching sport. My favourite sport for watching and pigging out on appys is hockey.
My favorite sport to watch is soccer. But I don't participate in many organized sports (sore loser? heh, I'm waaaaay too competetive and organized sports bring out the worst in me), so most of what *I* do is individual stuff, like biking or jogging.
Rock climbing - bouldering in particular.
Fun!
My fave sport = XC Skiing
