Weekly Giveaway: Vegan Etsy Grab Bag! VeganRun is the winner!

One of my new year's resolutions is to spend less money in big box stores. I don't know how many times I've spent the evening wandering around Target like a zombie, looking for a last minute gift or a new sweater. Well, no more in 2010. This year I've resolved to buy almost everything either second-hand or from small businesses. Living in a large city, that should be fairly easy for me to accomplish. However, for those of us who want to be more socially responsible but don't have access to much other than mega chains (or ahem, are too lazy to leave the comfort of our couches), there is Vegan Etsy (http://www.etsy.com/shop/VeganEtsy). Vegan Etsy is an online wonderland of completely vegan arts and crafts; I'm talking jewelry, clothing, household goods, and more. For Valentine's Day, they even have heart shaped cakes, check it out: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=38883078. I just died.

To enter to win a bag, let me know what your favorite sport is (this will make sense when you read the weekly newsletter!)

Giveaway ends on Tuesday, February 2nd at midnight, PST! Winner will be chosen at random!

Good luck!

Roller derby is my favorite sport. Homegrown, women playing strong!

I really enjoy soccer, but I don't play by any rules.  I'm pretty good at volleyball, but once again, I'm sure I don't play correctly.
Is ski ball a sport?  I kick ass at that.

in my country, sport is kind of the national religion.
I love to watch rugby, league, sevens and tennis, but my favourite sport is probably cricket  : )

Biking by far!
that counts, right?

It's basically my only form of physical activity other than free weights and push-ups (which are really just winter things i do to keep me sane when i cant bike).

If cooking was a sport, that'd be it.  But as far as pro sports- I love watching basketball the most.

Ah no, wait- does Turbo Kickboxing count as a sport?  or just my workout?  :-D

I like volleyball.  It is the only sport that I hate to miss in the summer olympics.

Since I can't do it myself, I like to watch martial arts, gymnastics and ice skating, but to participate actively, I'd say underwater basket weaving!

Does typing on my laptop count as a sport?  How about hibernating?
Oh fine... :-\
I guess my favorite sport to watch is baseball...actually, it's watching my husband watching baseball (he's quite comical); I enjoy walking or swimming best.
