One of my new year's resolutions is to spend less money in big box stores. I don't know how many times I've spent the evening wandering around Target like a zombie, looking for a last minute gift or a new sweater. Well, no more in 2010. This year I've resolved to buy almost everything either second-hand or from small businesses. Living in a large city, that should be fairly easy for me to accomplish. However, for those of us who want to be more socially responsible but don't have access to much other than mega chains (or ahem, are too lazy to leave the comfort of our couches), there is Vegan Etsy (http://www.etsy.com/shop/VeganEtsy). Vegan Etsy is an online wonderland of completely vegan arts and crafts; I'm talking jewelry, clothing, household goods, and more.
