Vegan friendly cities!

I'm very interested in moving somewhere a tad more populated with vegans once I graduate from college (which is in May)
I'd even love to get a job at a vegan/health place, while supplementing my 'future' art 'career'.
I've been looking around craigslist and places like that.. and it seems New York is a very good place for that (considering also that a friend of mine got a job at a place quickly)
But I also know Philadelphia has a some vegan places..
I'm only really familiar with Pennsylvania, but open to going anywhere (but prefer east coast at the moment)
Anyone have any opinions?
Nutdragon and Little2Ant, you guys are the best! I'm getting really excited about this!
I think I'm probably staying for 3-4 nights.
Yes I like art!
I'll check out the airports. I'll be flying in from Miami, and the only direct flight goes to Charlotte I think...
Yay!!
Yay! Just booked my flight!
When are you coming? Maybe Lotus can come back up and we can all have dinner at Rosetta's. Too bad Hesp is back on the west coast!

yeah! lets 's do it!
Yes yes yes! I'll be there December 14 and will be leaving on the 18th. I found an AMAZING green bed and breakfast that is really inexpensive and sweet! Rented a car from Charlotte...I'm good to go! I don't have an account so I can't private message anyone, but Little2Ant has my number. Oh my god, you have no idea how excited I am!!
Great! L2A is great at coordinating people together for dinner at Rosetta's!!!

Except for when Hespedal is outside lurking around on the sidewalk for a half hour while we inhale a plate of nachos! ;D
I'm in if we can schedule it for earlier in the week. The fam starts arriving for the holiday showdown the 17th. :-X Have I mentioned that I'm hosting this debacle? Perhaps we can meet at a bar....?
Have a safe trip!

Yeah, I'd be down for even meeting my first night there so you guys can tell me what to do! I don't drink, but I can still hang out if you go to a bar. ;)

on the weekend any time is good for me....during the week, before 12 is good, OR......after 8:00. Lyle is now sleeping in his crib and will sleep until at least midnight so I have a few hours of freedom now! I'd LOVE to have a drink....actually I have day off from work coming to me that i can take anytime so i could do a dinner too.
Anytime on the weekend is good for me, but the 14th is Sunday. I can't do lunches because I'm at work, but evenings are good.
Hespedal~ we are sorry we were scarfing down vegan nachos while you were pacing outside the door. We would love for you to come back and we'll make sure you are not standing outside the building this time! :D
Nutdragon~ how long is your holiday festivities going to last?
So does Sunday night work for everyone then? Dinner?
Sunday is good for me. Dinner will be great. Rosetta's or Laughing Seed, but I know that L2A and Nutdragon prefer Rosetta's. I like them both!
The only problem is......Rosetta's closes at 3 on Sundays (brunch only). We are going to a concert at the Orange Peel on Sunday afternoon. Can anyone do dinner during the week?
We could do Laughing Seed dinner Sunday I GUESS>>>>>>>but I'd much rather have Rosettas!
We could do early Sunday breakfast-well they open at 10 I think. or 11
My concert is at 2:00.
I would love to join you guys! I don't know if I can though. That is the week before we get out of school. Sunday evening would probably be the only time I could meet you...maybe Monday. I will have to see what is going on at school, but there's a chance I can take Monday off. So, I guess what I'm saying is, you guys make your plans and if I can work it out, I will join you! Cool? ;)b Ok. Cool.
I'm not going to be getting into Asheville until probably 3pm or so. Whatever restaurant/day is good for me! Thank you all so much for this!
Sunday night at Laughing Seed is good for me. The later the better, as we'll be coming back from the ATL that day. Monday or Tuesday anytime is also fine. My brother and his fam will be arriving late Wednesday for the week. I think we are doing Christmas that weekend (still up in the air depending on my grandma's schedule) and then we go back to ATL after that.
BTW, I actually prefer Laughing Seed to Rosetta's; food's better, atmosphere's better. Rosetta's is cheaper.
Can't wait to see you guys!

If you want to live in a vegan mecca, go to Portland, unless frequent sunshine is extremely important to you.
If you want to live in an artsy, vegan-friendly small town, head to Asheville, NC.
I've never been to Chicago, but in my opinion, San Francisco has the best vibe (trust me, it's amazing), DC has the best vegan food, and New York has the most vegan-friendly restaurants. If you're looking for the art scene, I'd recommend NY or SF.
And I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned San Diego, but I found it to be quite vegan-friendly, and I thought the vegan food I ate there was actually better than what I had in San Francisco.
These are awesome. I do really enjoy sunshine... via warmer weather.
I'm in PA now, and its cold, but I'm sure my body would adjust...
NC sounds interesting. I would have never guessed.
I'm heading up to NY this weekend (hopefully) so I can check it out.. not moving or anything..
