What can I make with a can of Sweetened Condensed Soymilk?

My Brazilian friend brought me a can of sweetened condensed soymilk from Brazil.  (Yes, I had her go through all the ingredients and she assured me it was vegan!)  What can I make?  I'd prefer not to use it for a sauce, but some other hand-held type dessert like a cookie/bar/fudge type thing.  Any ideas??  Is caramel difficult to make?  I've never made candy - it involves that whole judgment thing, which I'm not very good at.  I found a caramel recipe here.

Thanks!  :)

coconut macaroons?
I've never seen sweetened condensed soymilk but have made macaroons for my father-in-law with sweetened condensed milk so I would think that would work.
or fudge  : )

I don't know, but you need to think of that ONE THING that you've wanted to make, but couldn't b/c of the condensed milk thing. I know you probably already thought that, and I'm of no help, but think of that one thing. <3

I've heard of recipes where you put the whole can(can and all) in boiling water for about an hour, and it makes caramel.   Many of my friends and co workers have done it, not with soy condensed milk though.

One can make caramel without (any type of) condensed milk, right? Oh, maybe that's only caramel sauce. The only thing I can remember seeing condensed milk used for is some kind of pie.

Thanks for all the help, guys!

Yeah, AC I was trying to think of what I really wanted to make but couldn't.  I guess fudge would be something, but when I thought about it, I realized I don't looooove fudge and want to use it on something that has a little more going on.

Saskia, my mom used to make those "Magic Bars" when I was a kid!  I keep seeing different versions of the recipe on AllRecipes using the ingredient search feature.  The one you've found sounds exactly like the one she used.  I'm gonna buy ingredients for it tonight.  I'll report back.  My friend has offered to have her family bring up more condensed soymilk this Christmas from Brazil, so if all goes well, I will be putting in a request to her.  ;)b

OWW, I love coconut macaroons!  I might try that next time, if this stuff works out.  Lubi, I do love caramel... I might test that out if this stuff were easier to come by.  I should start checking the international markets around here.  Shea, those sound so yummy.  I know I'm too lazy to make the Girl Scout cookies as much as I drool over the pictures.  This Caramel Shortbread recipe looks yummy (and pretty easy) too!

Thanks again, everyone!!

The Magic Cookie Bars were a wonderful childhood memory for me too. My grade school friend's Mom would pack a few in her lunch and she would share a cookie bar with me. I tried to find vegan versions but with no luck because of the sweetened condensed milk. I haven't been able to find soy sweetened condensed milk so I'm pretty excited that you scored some. Please let us know how your treats turn out.

Well alrighty then... apparently Soymilke Doce de Soja doesn't really translate to Sweetened Condensed Soymilk, as my friend and I had thought it might.  I had all my Magic Bar ingredients in the pan and went to open the can only to find a caramel-y brown, thick substance, nearly as thick as frosting.  It's like a very thick caramel sauce and tastes yummy, but doesn't "drizzle" or firm up when baked.  (I was tempted to mix it with soymilk, but just dolluped it over the top instead).  It's made by Olvebra, and their website does show a "Soymilke Condensado" product... Maybe I'll just try making some one of these days.  For now, I'll just enjoy a bowl of Magic Bar... you can't go wrong with 6 yummy ingredients.
