School Christmas Party, help!

So I have a class "picnic" with my French language school in two weeks. Everyone's meant to bring a dish typical of their country.
What's a typical American dish that I can bring? Keep in mind, it needs to be something easy to bring on the public bus that I take to school and something that can sit for a couple hours until lunch time. My class has 20 people in it.

Thanks for the help in advance!!

Sloppy Joes (you can put the mix in a container, grab a thing of rolls and throw it in a bag- easy to bring on a bus). I can't believe I'm at a loss as to what is American food. Considering we're a melting pot it's kind of hard. You can make Chop Suey, that's American, easy to bring on a bus and can be eaten room temp.

Does it have to be a main dish?  If not, maybe cornbread, or pumpkin pie, or apple pie, or something with cranberries.

Apple pie. You can't get more American than that, lol.

If you have a slow cooker, rice coooker, or crockpot--chilli!!
But a dessert thing like cinnamon rolls or pie is good too.

Where in the US are you from? I'd bring something regional. Like, I'm from the southwest, so I'd maybe bring stuff for navajo tacos.

I'm originally from St.Louis. I said I'd bring something savory, mainly because I thought if I brought something sweet, the only thing I'd have to eat was the desert I made.

I don't have a slow cooker :(.

I like the idea of baked beans, mac and cheese, or sloppy joes...what would you choose between these?

Thanks everyone for the help!

I would take mac and cheese, but that's just my personal favourite ;)

What about toasted ravioli? Isn't that a regional food from the St Louis area?

Yeah it's (toasted ravioli)  a regional (AMAZING) food. But the only recipe I've seen is in The American Kitchen (I think that's what it called) and I don't have it.

Maybe the mac and cheese. What recipe would you advise? There's so many!
