In Need Of Veggie Burger Assistance

Hey all been a lurker but am new to the forum and i would really allreciate some help  :) . While i like to cook fresh whenever possible i have several health problems that dont alway permit that and i liek to keep a few freezer meals on hand. I have already found a great recipe for tamales on here (thank you  :)>>> )  that i think will freeze well so my second conquest is a freezable allergy compliant veggie burger. See im allergic or have intolerances to over 20 different foods many of which are staples to veg and vegan cooking. So im hoping that maybe you all can help me make a veggie burger free of all nuts, pumpkin seeds, wheat/barley/rye (gluten), soy, and im sure a thing or two ive forgotten  ;) that would freeze well. Most of the recipes ive come across so far have some kind of nut, soy, or gluten in them so if  we can overcome those i think im in good shape!

I have or will soon have -
white chia seeds
gluten free rolled oats
raw sunflower seeds
nutritional yeast
assorted veggies
assorted canned/dry beans
gluten free soy sauce (tamari)
gluten free vegan bullion cubes (veggie, chicken, beef)
and a decently stocked spice cabinet

Any assistance is very much appreciated. And i hope i put this in the right forum  :P .

This link has a method for creating your own "magic loaf" from ingredients of your choosing.  You could play around with that and see what you come up with.  I don't see why you could not form into patties for burgers if you wanted to.

Try these: Get Your Groove on Veggie Burgers.  They're pretty flexible.  You can see various substitutions people have made in the reviews.  And they do freeze well.

I can't say anything for sure about this, because I have never attempted them, but I know I see recipes for bean burgers all the time, and I think all you need is just some beans, something liquid-y, and something to hold it together.  Try looking up bean burgers and see what you find, since I think they should also freeze pretty well and you can also use up leftovers in them to add different flavors.

Hi Sharkie :). Thank you for the input. I figured the basics of a buger would more or less be what you said so it is helpful to have it confirmed. Beans are kind of hard on my system so i would like to make up bart of the burger with seeds to even it out which doesnt seem like it would be a problem? Im also very glad to knwo they freezze well its always sad to make something in bulk then have it come out all separated and nasty when you go to use it again.

I made veggie burgers! The texture wasnt quite what i wanted it to be but i had to do everything by hand so when i find my food processor attachment im sure it will go better :). The flavor was good, needed salt but i very rarely add salt till after im done cooking anyway. I kept three in the fridge (ive eaten two) and 3 for the freezer and that was only half a recipe. I have a full recipes worth of veg mixture in the freezer for next time. Also for next time i think i will only do half lentils and the rest with beans and roasted eggplant as the lentils were too firm (i used french green). Thanky ou for all the help guys! Cant wait to add tamales to my repitior!
