National Baking Week 2009!

So ladies and germs, it's National Baking Week from the 19th to the 25th of October. National as in the UK but hey, I invite you all to play along. Any excuse!

I made zombie cupcakes as per Baypuppy's recipe:

Those cupcakes are really cute!  I'm assuming that's powdered sugar on top?  I think I might have to steal that idea...

The recipe is here: http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=12880.0

It is indeed powdered sugar although I made the fatal error of putting it on before the icing which naturally made the icing impossible to stick the hell down. The only other problem was that there were only six of them  >:D

I bake almost weekly but am always happy to participate in international baking celebrations. This week I baked Raspberry Spelt Scones for breakfast with my tea or coffee.

Its my B Day in a week, so I am treating my self and all the baked goodies in the house this Week are gluten free!

Lemon bars - instead of cake
peanut butter cookies
scones of some sort
and a loaf of gf bread, all for me!!!!!

That sounds really good. I'm trying to learn to do more GF baking. Which peanut butter cookie recipe did you use?

I made peanut butter cookies last night.  And I might make some muffins or something later this weekend.  I pretty much bake every week too.
