Okay, so here's the deal. D just told me he doesn't really like green veggies. Over the years, he has been able to learn the joys of spinach, broccoli and others, but one he has yet to try a preparation of he likes is asparagus!! I WANT to make this man a convert into the cult of the grassy spear. :D
I have a bunch in the veggie bin, waiting for use.... how shall I cook 'em???
Try this:

Totally agree with AC AMAZING this way! I also add minced garlic
baked asparagus casserole:
in a glass baking dish:
layer of croutons
layer of chopped asparagus, boiled in veg broth
layer of chreeze sauce
pour 1/4c broth over the mix
sprinkle with savory amd sage
repeat
bake @ 350 for 30min or until the croutons form a doughy crust and its hot all of the way through
I've always had balsamic asparagus.
Throw them in a pyrex container thing with a lid and coat in olive oil and balsamic. Mm.
And i like to sort of, stir fry/saute them. With soy sauce/garlic/ginger/sesame oil
I make a creamy, potato-asparugus soup, I started w/ the recipe in VWAV, but have substituted many seasonings and veggies with it always turning out yummy!!!

this. But add lemon juice and garlic.
does he like seaweed? i bet if you shredded and marinated asparagus it would make a great addition to seaweed salad.
hrm....I believe he may like seaweed, not sure though.....I'm thinking about combining a few of these....like roasted asparagus risotto/salad....maybe braise them in homemade veggie stock and garlic??
I'd say wait until they are in season so they'll be way tastier to begin with. It's almost spring, right? ;)
lol, there were some beautiful looking ones at the store, which is why I bought them.
And don't tease me w/ the allusions of spring!!!
It reached the single digits here this weekend thanks to windchill!!
