Meals cooked entirely in a rice cooker

Anyone know any good recipes that can be cooked entirely in a rice cooker (or almost entirely)?  At work they recently put a rice cooker in the kitchen so for the past few weeks I've been chopping up veggies steaming them, potatoes, rice and other grains of course to make a full meal.  Everything has been great, but I'm looking for something a little more so thought I'd make an open call to the VW community because we're such a creative bunch to see what there is.

It's not all that flash, but you can make a pretty mean risotto ina rice cooker.
put a little oil in, toss in some onion/garlic/leek/whatever, saute a little, add rice and stock/water to the right proportions, maybe throw in some chopped/a tin of tomatoes, stir well and put the lid on and basically leave it alone. I'm paranoid, so I'd check back regularly/stir, but I think if you get the water/rice proportions right you can leave it alone till it pops to 'cooked', then it's all good.  If you're using the steamer tray thing you could get some more veges ready while the risotto cooks and stir them through at the end.

Excellent idea!  I'll give that a twirl next week!

Risotto is a good one. Also you can make pasta in it (you have to test often and watch it though) and throw together a quick peanut sauce (pb, soy sauce, garlic powder, powdered ginger, stir together in serving bowl).

Veggie stew is yum AND you can make dumplings for it. Soften onions/shallot, garlic, maybe celery and a little carrot in a little oil, add veg broth, potatoes OR instant potato flakes, other veg, let simmer a little, then make the dumpling recipe from here: http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=10161.15 and put the lid on the rice cooker til dumplings look done inside.

That can be made in the rice cooker if you are able to make the pasta in the microwave/somewhere else (cook at home, heat up in rice cooker when mixing with the sauce perhaps?). It will smell strongly of garlic in the room you cook in though. So if you work with vampires, I would not make it. OR make it often so they do not suck your blood :p

eta: couscous!

I have *one* recipe that involves a whole meal in a rice cooker - rice mixed with dashi broth/soy sauce/mirin, with chopped veggies sitting atop the rice (making a Japanese pilaf). Never tried it though...
