dinner tonight ???

I'd like to make a nice dinner tonight, but it can't be something that takes long to cook. On Monday I made tacos, Tuesday we went out for sushi, Yesterday I made raviolis, so I don't feel like chinese, mexican, or italian.
I have an idea of making tempeh for me, chicken for my husband in a lemony wine sauce (with garlic, onion, mushroom, herbs) ???that I used to make for chicken occansionally pre veg, but I never cooked with tempeh before. It seems like it has a firmer texture than tofu, so I think it will work like this, but I'm a little nervous, can i just saute it or bake it like chicken?
Or if anyone else has a new idea, I'm open minded!!!
there was a couple of threads below about preparting tempeh.
its recommended to steam it first if you want to remove some of the "musty" taste of tempeh.
I looooooove tempeh.
I especially love the buffalo tempeh wings recipe on here.

Where can you buy tempeh?
Are you close to the Wheaton Whole Foods? You can buy several different types there, GESC. It's in the refrigerated section across from the olive bar. :)

Magic, heading there on Saturday morning for my weekly shop. Need to pop into the Holistic Pet Store across the way from WF to pick up some pet supplies also.
I must admit the biggest thing I missed after turning veg*n was Buffalo wings, so that recipe looks like heaven to me right now! Any advice on vegan hot sauce recommendation?

Definately second steaming/simmering it in some sort of broth. I was turned off to tempeh until I tried that - and found it delicious :D
thanks for the help everyone, my husband ended up cooking- veggie kabobs on the grill but i will try making tempeh sometime soon!
GESC: I use Crystal hot sauce that I get at Woodmans. I'm sure you can get it at other places, and I'm not sure if it's 100% vegan (I'm pretty new at all this) but it is just aged red cayenne peppers, distilled vinegar, and salt. Sounds vegan to me.

THanks! Meggs.
I think I may even have a bask at making my hot sause this weekend.
GESC, you're inviting me over for dinner, right? :D
P.S. (I'm temporarily thread-hijacking, sorry!) You are looking for a penpal? I'm a correspondence junkie and love sharing recipes. Plus, we were omni for the same amount of time, so we can bond over that. Pleeeeeeease!
