ummmmm, hate to be the party-pooper, but this was a spoof episode.  Aparrently it never actually went out on TV.

It's still fucking funny though!  I loved rainbow as a child, so this makes me laugh lots.

You are right about it not being 'aired'; this skit was done by the cast and distributed among the crew as a Christmas 'gag reel'.
