For anyone looking to keep abreast of important news stories, this link will prove helpful and perhaps frightening. These are things that aren't being reported in the average papers of the United States.

and to think it's only september! i can't wait to not hear about all the crazy stuff that will happen in the next few months!
Thanks for the link, Camillus. It's a nicely compiled list.
I never realize how underreported real issues are until I bring up a topic in conversation and get that "wtf" look.
I'm somewhat obsessed with knowing what is going on, maybe too much so. Somedays, it can feel really heavy, but I'd rather be blinded by the light than stumbling in the dark.
I think it'd be interesting to do a poll or something to see where vegwebbers get their news and to share sources. I always like checking out new sites/papers/zines.
Me- I start each morning with news & political talk radio on KBOO (kboo.fm/listen - independent, listener-sponsered, unfiltered, community radio), and my other main sources are Democracy Now!, The Guardian, The Nation, truthout.org, The Portland Alliance, prorev.com, Associated Press, and thememoryhole.com (which hasn't been updated in some time, but is an indispensable archive of news, gov. files, memos, court docs, etc. of things you're not supposed to know).
