Taco Bell "Beef filling"

So apparently they are being sued because they label the filling as "seasoned beef" although it only contains 36% beef, the rest is basically what we would use to make fake beef. Here's the link, it might make you chuckle too  ;D: http://eater.com/archives/2011/01/24/lawsuit-claims-taco-bells-meat-isnt-really-beef.php

Didn't really find this something to fight about, but it'll probably be moved here anyway.

Damn. they should just get rid of the 36% and make it all oat protein. I love how that guy said, "mmmm oat protein" as if it  is something disgusting (and flesh of cattle is not). LOL!

I'd certainly have no beef with that.

I just like the comment by someone saying their okay with the 36% beef as long as the rest isn't other animals.

This! I said the same thing, that they should get rid of the other 36% (nobody would ever know!), then the vegans could rock out their 4th meals!

That is so strange you said that, L2A. My very first recipe I got on here was for oatmeal burgers. After I ate them I posted on my facebook wall how GREAT they were (my first "burger" since being vegetarian) and someone (yeah, one of my friends...) commented, "GROSS!" I was like, "That is what some of us think about eating rotting animal flesh." Haven't heard from that friend since....Strange how what we are used to can affect our view (fear) about what we are not so used to....

My favorite ingredient in their "beef" is anti-dusting agent.
