Cooking show audition-care to vote?
Hi all,
I must start by saying: Forgive my optimism, but my blood type is B+ and I just can't help it! ;)
(get it?...be positive!...ok, kind of silly, but that really is my blood type)
I sent in an audition tape to the Food Network...they are going to give the winner of the whole thing their own cooking show on the Food Network Channel. I have been teaching vegan cooking classes for over 10 years and LOVE it. I think it would be awesome to have a more widely distributed veg cooking show, so I am going for it! I am asking anyone who is interested to check out my video and vote on it. I think the more positive votes and comments, the better it will look to the judges.
P.S. I am being a bit covert about the fact that I only do vegan food...I am not going to mention it until needed, as I don't want to be pre-judged or eliminated based on that! I would love to be in the finalists before they find out...you know, give them as long as possible to open their minds to my cooking before they figure out they are being deprived of animal innards!

Wow I hope you get to be a finalist! The world definitely needs at least a vegetarian cook show not to mention a vegan cooking show! Sure you can take the meat out of what you cook and eat it... but it's not the same thing! Good luck, hope you get in! I'd love to find some veggie cooking classes where I live, (In the Okanagan part of BC Canada) I'm new to world of vegetarianism, and never cooked a lot as it was, haha! With the new way of life though, I'm more interested in making tasty healthy dishes that I can enjoy. ttfn

we NEED a vegan cooking show on the food network - I love watching the channel, but HATE the fact that everything is pretty much vegan un-friendly.

My thoughts exactly! Who does a veg show on national tv? Isn't it about time?!
I wouldn't cook any fish or meat, or even dairy. All I know is vegan food. But, I am thinking that even if I don't win or get on that channel, it may open something up somewhere else. PBS, whatever! I know so many people who would enjoy a vegan cooking show, so there is a first time for everything-who knows!? :)
