can anyone tell me what happened on House last night
Last week I tried to tape it but put the mute button on so I had no sound. Determined not to mae the same mistake last night, I got it going extra early and shut the tv off. The videotape ran out about two thirds through the show. (Yes, that's videotape--I'm still living in the 90's). I think this could be a sign from the tv gods to just rent the cds when they come out in August. But, just curious--does House really go into rehab? And the teaser makeout scene with Cuddy--was that a hallucination? And did the ballerina really have gonorrhea at the end that caused her ailment?
My tv screen went blank at the point where Wilson was driving House to wherever they were going, so now I'm really curious. It's worse than not having seen it at all. However, my husband was getting really creeped out by Amber so I think he was secretly happy!

Ok, so it was a pretty soap operaish one. House did decide that he needed to detox from vicodin , because nothing else was working. Cuddy suggested that he check into the hospital, but he said he would cheat that way, so he told her that he needed her, and she agreed. Cuddy spent like..2 days (?) at his apartment, and kept him from cheating, and finding pills, and he was really sick, and then he got better, and he stopped seeing Amber, and then they starting making out at the end. Cuddy said she "always wants to kiss him."
The ballerina did have gonorrhea that caused an abscess in her heart, and they did surgery to remove it, but gangrene was in her feet and hands, and they told her they would have to amputate. She said NO, because she's a dancer (they were having to make their own decisions b/c House was "off the case-" they didn't know why), and they decided to try a risky vasodilation (?) therapy, that they "knew" wouldn't work, but it did..and they didn't have to amputate. Her boyfriend left her b/c he had gonorrhea, but I guess he hadn't cheated on her.
Oh, and House put himself in a diabetic coma (?) to try to get Amber to leave (before deciding on detox), and he could have died, and he thought Amber was gone for a while, but she came back...so that's when he decided to detox.
Sis, House said he "always wants to kiss" her.
Cuddy: You want to kiss me
House: I always want to kiss you
*gentle kiss*
*make out*
*take off clothing*

Oh! I thought it was the other way around.
lol....i wanted to post about house sooooo bad last night! :D
I didn't know Cameron and Chase were engaged!!! :o I hate Chase less now.... >:D
Yes...hallucinations...so what I didnt get was, really he jsut detoxes and then goes on his merry way? Is that how it works? Wouldnt he just like, grab vicodine* as soon as he was alone and thus start the cycle all over again?
*I had to look at my medical/allergy alert bracelet on my wrist to find out how to spell that cause the computer says its wrong. Phttts! Weird but convenient.... ;)
Thank you AC! Wow--really soap operaish. Luke and Laura worthy, I would say.
What I want to know is: does House ever shower? And when does he shave? He's always got about three or four days growth going, so he must do it sometime or he'd look like Grizzley Adams.
maybe he just always lets it grow and then trims it to stubble-length?

There was that one episode where he shaved completely..because he was "getting another job," or whatever. Maybe he only needs to shave once per year.
Oh, and I forgot about Chase and Cameron. Cameron kept sperm from her dead husband, and she doesn't want to let it go. Chase doesn't want to marry her if she thinks she has to keep her dead husband's sperm. She doesn't KNOW that she'll be with Chase forever, but he does know, and he told her to wait until she KNOWS.
oh lord....
I saw the part about Cameron talking about the sperm. Between that story line and the detox in your own home thing--so glad the writers are keeping it real!
Goddamn I love that show. They have a few episodes posted on Hulu ... since we don't have TV at home. :P
has anyone ever died under Houses care? i don't think ive ever seen a patient die.
which make me wonder why the hell the people around him ever doubt him or argue? you'd think theyd just be like "yes house, you're always right so im sure that whatever you do, including this baby head to adult body transplant, will go off without a hitch! and ya know - i realized that im pretty much in the way here and arguing when you've always been right and i really have no power over you and you always end up doing what you want anyway, so i'm just gonna get out of here and get a job in the gift shop.. be sure to stop by on your way out and i'll give you a discount on flowers for your incredibly beautiful & forgiving doctor girlfriend who could easily find someone who respected her opinion & treated her like an actual person!
am i wrong?

Totally.
I agree with you about the girlfriend thing especially ... I feel like the female characters are written in a "straight man" kind of way. Know what I mean? They're so neurotic, and they don't have any of the good one-liners. (Cameron in particular drives me insane ... she's such a control freak.)
