Weekly Giveaway: Vegan Etsy Grab Bag! VeganRun is the winner!

One of my new year's resolutions is to spend less money in big box stores. I don't know how many times I've spent the evening wandering around Target like a zombie, looking for a last minute gift or a new sweater. Well, no more in 2010. This year I've resolved to buy almost everything either second-hand or from small businesses. Living in a large city, that should be fairly easy for me to accomplish. However, for those of us who want to be more socially responsible but don't have access to much other than mega chains (or ahem, are too lazy to leave the comfort of our couches), there is Vegan Etsy (http://www.etsy.com/shop/VeganEtsy). Vegan Etsy is an online wonderland of completely vegan arts and crafts; I'm talking jewelry, clothing, household goods, and more. For Valentine's Day, they even have heart shaped cakes, check it out: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=38883078. I just died.

To enter to win a bag, let me know what your favorite sport is (this will make sense when you read the weekly newsletter!)

Giveaway ends on Tuesday, February 2nd at midnight, PST! Winner will be chosen at random!

Good luck!

my favorite sport is dance. a lot of people don't consider it a sport, but it takes ten tons of athletic ability to do it. especially during competition season when you live your life in the dance room or at the studio and are just one big bruise from all the choreography and tricks. as ive gotten older, ive become more aware of my body and that has made me soooo much better at dance. ugh, i just love it!!! i never wanna stop. :D

I don't enjoy watching sports... at all.
But I enjoy bowling and biking, when it's me playing/riding :)

Love to watch hockey, but hardly ever do. There aren't any local teams and I don't have TV. Kinda limits the choices. LOL As for participating, I'd cook competitively given the chance. Hiking with my dogs is great, but I don't think that's really a sport.

Individual sport: Rock climbing

I'm not a sports person myself but my father has gotten me into golf...hehe!

Roller Derby. I just started it a few months ago and I LOVE it. Seriously, if you ever loved soccer, lacrosse, hockey and want a new sport to try as an adult---see if you have any roller derby leagues around.

And bellydance....but I don't know if that counts as a sport.
