It's been established that people like to party on St. Patrick's Day. For those of us who want to celebrate in style, you know what's awesome? Sparkly stuff. Nothing catches the eye on St. Patrick's Day more than shimmer and shine. Well, except for green shirts and red hair. We can't help with that, but we have some bath and body products that will light you up like a disco ball. Sparkle Naturals (http://www.sparklenaturals.com/) makes amazing eco-friendly, vegan goodies for the tween set, but I think they're pretty awesome, and I haven't been a tween for many, many, MANY years. I started off the day with The Pogues and some Irish Breakfast tea. For dinner when the family is all home, the plan is cabbage potato soup, salad, and homemade bread - I can hear the collective groans of my two cabbage-hating teens now! One day, they will learn to love it. Maybe today is the day?
I will probably have to go to some bar/restaurant with my family tomorrow night... but I think I shall try some vegan St. Patty's Day recipes tonight.

Were going out with some friends for dinner later tonight. It's a special holiday for my family because Saint Patrick is our Patron Saint and what he did for my faith. I never wear green though so I will probably get pinched:) Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!
I'm working today, wearing green scrubs of course! No real plans, we will be watching NCAA tourney and I think I'm going to make a cabbage and potato skillet type recipe I found on here. I do have to admit, my yearly serving of corned beef is something I miss from my non veg days though!

Today we celebrate the birthdays of 2 of my 4 nephews. Happy Birthday B & D! ;)b
I plan on just hanging out with a small group of friends and doing some good ol' fashioned day-drinking ;D

We R celebrating my niece's 2nd Bday, she is a St Patty's baby!
I haven't been able to be home for St. Pat's for the last 3 years, because I go to school in DC. But I did send my parents an Anniversary Card! They celebrated 22 years this past 17th. Usually when I'm home, my family makes me sing with my dad and grandmother (all the old and good ones - When Irish Eyes are Smiling, O Danny Boy, etc). Also, they like to make me clog with my cousin Rachel even though neither of us have taken clogging classes since we were about 10. And even though clogging is not the same as Irish Step Dancing. ;)
i worked in an elementary school. i forgot to wear green. i got pinched alot!
