I'm new :)
Hey there,
I'm new...my name is Kyra and I have two daughters and a wonderful husband. My oldest daughter is 15 months, and my youngest is 25 weeks gestation (that's right, she's still in utero haha). We are an entirely raw vegan family (with the occasional cooked item when we have guests who complain). We also eat entirely organic, and wouldn't have it any other way.
I have a question though that I'd love some advice on:
My daughter is 15 months, and within the next year or two she is going to become interested in Halloween...now the idea of sending her door to door to collect pieces of everything we don't believe in is making me nervous. I don't know what to do...I don't want to restrict her from having a Halloween, as I fear she'll grow to resent me for it, but at the same time, I don't want her eating all that candy crud. What do you do for your vegan children on Halloween?

Welcome! Check out the stroller derby for lots of little vegan related stuff. As for Halloween, either you let her break the rules and eat some vegan candy, or you don't. My daughter goes trick or treating, and we let her choose what candy she eats. Usually its just the vegan ones, and she gives the rest away. Other people trade the non-vegan ones for vegan candies. Maybe just skip it and do something else fun on Halloween?
