Thanksgiving advice?

Coming up in a couple of months will be my first Thanksgiving as a non-omnivore, and the rest of my family is omnivorous!  I'd like to ask my mom (who's making most of the food since it'll be at her house) to make things vegan-friendly, but how should I do it without being pushy?
Also, any recommendations for turkey-replacers?  It's not Thanksgiving without something resembling turkey!
I'm also on the lookout for a killer vegan chocolate pie.  I'll win my chocoholic dad over yet ;-)

Would you be interested in cooking with her, and helping? I think that would be a great thing to do. I really like just making a bunch of vegetable dishes, potatoes, some kind of loaf (tofu, etc.), bread, and desserts! I don't think it would be too much to just ask your mom to leave out the butter in a portion of vegetables for you. Bring over some soymilk and Earth Balance, and make your own mashed potatoes! You can have a great Thanksgiving meal. Last year, we had roasted carrots, fresh green beans, mashed potatoes, gravy, tofu loaf, baguette, and sweet potato pie. I haven't made a vegan chocolate pie, so someone else will have to suggest one. I do know lots of great cakes, cookies, and brownies, though.  :)

Oh, if you want a "turkey," Tofurky makes a "feast" meal that has:
    * One Tofurky® Roast (made with organic non-genetically engineered soybeans)
    * Eight Cranberry Apple Potato Dumplings
    * Tofurky® Giblet & Mushroom Gravy
    * Herbed brown and Tofurky® Wild Rice Stuffing
    * Tofurky® Jurky Wishstix

You could also just get the Tofurky roast.
