Sweet potato soup recipe?

Just had a great vegan soup with a hint of ginger and want to now make my own. Any recipes anyone have tried that are good?

Well there's a great Sweet Potato Chilli with Veggies recipe on here...not what you want but it might inspire you. And you might go for a kind of Sweet Potato Bisque type thing (see pumpkin bisque recipes, sps are a good sub as I have found in this pumpkin-less country, and veganise away).
I have sweet potatoes! Too bad it's too warm for soup these days... But I guess I could always chill it before eating. A yummy summer soup made from sweet potatoes.

Laura, try this: Saute some onion and garlic (if you like garlic) in a couple Tablespoons of olive oil. Add your sweet potato chunks and saute a bit. Now, cover with your favourite milk (about a quart) or half milk/half veggie broth and simmer till tender. Blitz in the blender and chill.
I do this with zucchini in the summer when it's too hot for soup or solid food.
