I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestion on what to use in baking recipes in place of sugar?

There are many things one can use in place of sugar in baking, so it might be easier to provide a little more info: Why are you looking for a substitute for sugar? Do you need a sweetner with a low glycemic index? Other health concern? or are you just looking to make a healthier choice (a less processed/refined product)? Sometimes it'll depend on the recipe.. is there something specific you'd like to make?
I found this page by accident one day and thought it was a great little overview of some of the natural sweetners available on the market. Check it out! http://www.shopnatural.com/newsletter_0603.htm

Hmmm... brown rice syrup is nice, quite a mild sweetness. Maple syrup is yummy mapley goodness! Stevia is very very sweet, requires a learning curve to bake with, I like it in homemade lemonade! Agave Syrup is very sweet as well and good for diabetics. For a dry sweetener I sometimes use unrefined vegan cane sugar. Molasses, I eat it on toast! Date Sugar and syrup, though I haven't tried those myself. There's a few options...

I use Blue Agave as a sugar replacer. Also use organic sugar that does not go through any bone char or any other animal products which I use from time to time.
Anything you get that's sweet will have sugars in it making it high in carbs :) I know Stevia is pretty sweet and has very little carbs so maybe you can try using it? I don't know where you could get it in bulk though. I've only seen it in the little single serving packs.
