Spinach dip question

I am planning to make this spinach dip recipe:

I bought frozen spinach. Should I cook it or just mix it in after it thaws? It doesn't say to cook it, but I don't know if that's a "given."

You wont have to cook it, its cooked before they snap freeze it.
thaw and squeeze out the excess water, so that you don't end up with watery spots in your dip

oh one more thing oif you haven't made this yet...
i don't like long stringy spinach in my dip... so i give the spinach a whirl in my vitamix to kind of chop it down

You can also chop it a bit with a knife or kitchen shears while it's still frozenish.
