Slow cooker risotto recipe?

I just did a search and couldn't see an easy answer, so I'm asking it here - has anyone made risotto in a slow cooker/does anyone have a good recipe for risotto in a slow cooker/does anyone know of any reason why I shouldn't just go ahead and try making risotto in a slow cooker?
Cheers!
I'm not an expert at risotto-making or anything, but of what I do know of is that it usually needs consistent, frequent stirring throughout, so I think using a slow-cooker would work if you're not planning on leaving it while you're out at work, etc....however, I think it would take forever to make it in a slowcooker because of the lower temperature.....
I think it would be more ideal to use a stockpot or a deeper saute pan...is there a particular reason you're bent on a slowcooker?
Also, you may want to test a very small batch to see how it turns out....?
I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure my mom has made a risotto type thing in the rice cooker or maybe slow cooker. It didn't have the creaminess of regular risotto, but I'd still call it that. I'll ask her in the morning, then report back.
sweet as, thank you! It was actually my mum who wanted to do it, we're having this big 50th birthday party on Sunday for my aunt and she basically can't be arsed stirring a regular risotto so wanted to try it in the slow cooker. But we found an actual recipe for doing it in the rice cooker so I think she's just going to run with that.
Personally, I may be a weirdo, but I love standing over the element stirring risotto for 40 minutes... maybe that's just because it's getting damn cold here at the mo :)
