save the soup: a butternut squash adventure

Hi everyone!
So I have some store bought butternut squash soup that my mom brought me last time she visited (I'm a college student). I had some tonight and it was terrible! I don't want it to go to waste so somehow I must save the soup... any suggestions as to what I can do with it or add to it that would improve the flavour? I was thinking of peanut sauce, and that might not go so well so I decided to ask for some advice before I make it even worse.
Muchas gracias!
I love butternut squash soup with a couple pureed apples and some garlic, or if you want something rich, I sometimes make this butternut squash soup:
1 large butternut squash
1 apple
2 medium onions
4 tbsp vegan buttery spread
1 1/2 tsp medium curry powder
4 tbsp flour
pinch of ground nutmeg or ginger
3 cups veggie stock
2 cups of coconut milk
I don't know what's already in the soup you have, but you could easily add coconut milk, curry powder and an apple. It's really yummy, although I can't eat a very large portion in one sitting!
I'd try using it as a creamy soup broth in a normal soup recipe; just omit the salt and some of the spice from the recipe. (Play around with what might still go with it well.) Maybe if you mix it with enough tasty stuff, the flavor won't come out as much. I'd wilt some strongly-flavored greens, like chard, into it, toss in some chickpeas perhaps? I wonder if some diced tomatoes would be good in there... pumpkin goes into tomato-black bean soups pretty well, so I would think that a can of tomatoes would both mask the flavor and help it along a bit... PS, I think I may have had this soup before, and I don't think I liked it either. :P
Thanks for the suggestions! The ingredients are various types of squash, pears, sugar, molasses, and "spices" so I am not sure what is really making it taste bad. There is enough of it to try more than one thing so I will try both of your suggestions over the next few days. :D
I have lots of garlic, onion, and curry so that might be my first attempt.
Sounds almost like Danish fruit soup...all that sweetness! Obviously disappointing if you were expecting something savoury. Either stir it into some muffin mix and make breakfast bread out of it (since it's already pretty bland), or as someone said, spice it up.
I would be tempted to make muffins of it.
boil some pasta in it. It makes it a bit "stickier" than water, but it really adds a new dimension to boring old sketty :)
Especially good with a pesto (haven't tried tomato sauce with this technique)
I'm not a big pasta fan, but Will is and I have to find new ways to make it taste interesting or it will go cold in my bowl...
