requesting help finding Frankenstein related recipe

My AP English Literature class is having a "final celebration" as my teacher calls it on our last full class period. We're having a character luncheon in which each student (and teacher) chose a character from a novel or play we read this year and we have to dress like that character, act like the character and, finally, bring a dish to add to the luncheon which somehow represents our character.

I chose to portray Dr. Victor Frankenstein from Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (quick reminder for those of you who haven't read it, Frankenstein is the scientist who created the monster, it isn't the name of the green monster with the bolts often seen on Halloween). I can bring a food which comes from the region of Austria or Switzerland since most of the novel takes place in Austria and Shelley wrote the novel in Switzerland. I could also bring something that has to do with the name of the book or is somehow a play on words. Really, anything that I can somehow connect to the book.

There's one point where Frankenstein and his monster have a discussion and he says something about how he doesn't live on the food of man, berries and acorns sustain him instead of animal flesh. Therefore, I could just cheap out and bring some veggie based something but I'd really like to bring something more creative than that, which is where I call on the help of my fellow vegwebbers :)

You could make berry/nut sausages (if you can find vegan casings) and serve them in steins.....thus you have vegan Franks in Steins!! :-D

There's a line very near the start of the novel Frankenstien that talks about someone who had managed to keep a piece of vermicelli alive in a solution of some kind. Nowadays I know they were talking about the vermicelli worm (a parasite), but you could cook up some vermicelli pasta with a yummy sauce, and serve that...with a card bearing the appropriate quote of course!

What a great presentation this will be! 

Swiss food is pretty dairy heavy, I think.  I googled around for Swiss food and found a few treats that look veganizable and snack-friendly...  Most of these will require subbing in vegan dairy replacements.

You could also go with the silly option of "making creatures" as did Victor F.  http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=12880.msg158025#msg158025  But that isn't delving far into the book, and might not get you much literature cred, although it would be fun.

The creature itself becomes vegetarian, eating what it steals from fields... perhaps a freegan offering is in keeping.    ;)

I toyed with the idea of monster shaped things but I'm concerned if I don't make some "real" food then there will be no "real" food for me to eat at our gathering and even Dr. Frankenstein can't last on cookies alone for lunch.

Those sweedish recipes duckalucky found look way more welcoming to the veganizing process than any I found, most I found would have needed so many subs I was afraid they would begin to taste "vegan" to anyone who isn't me ;)

Oh boy, and those cookies are AMAZING.  I made them at Halloween, and my mom demanded that I make them again... for Christmas... because they were so yummy.  Haha.
