Question for Vegans - Are Bush's Best black beans vegan?

Can anyone tell me if Bush's Best black beans are ok for vegans? I'm making a dish for some vegan friends tonight and I don't want to poison them - I'll run out and buy Goya if I need to but I'd rather not if Bush's are ok. thanks!
Yes, they should just be beans. Just check the ingredients and make sure there is nothing added (shouldn't be). Just beans....maybe salt, water?
thanks for replying - it says "prepared black beans", water, and salt - that's what made me nervous. i know goya just says "black beans". any idea what "prepared" means?
Hm. "Prepared," huh? ..letting us know they took the time to cook them?! I dunno. I guess it just means they are "cooked and seasoned," but they sure don't have any good nutritional information on their website. Does it happen to say "vegetarian" anywhere on the can? They are black beans, so I wouldn't expect any meaty seasoning, anyway. Since they are what you have, I would use them. I really don't think they have anything added.
yeah, you're probably right. i doubt there's anything else in there too. thanks for your help :)
hi friendofveggies, i just wanted to thank you on your friends behalf for obviously being an awesome friend!

Good point! ;)b
they are ok! i'm vegan and i eat them a lot actually. they do have regular black beans as well as seaonsed black beans. no matter what i'm eating, i go with the seasoned black beans. good luck cookin' for your friends!
