oat bran substitutions

i have a prety big tupperware of oat bran in my pantry that i haven't been using. what are some good uses? and also is there anything that i can substitute oat bran for?
If you make oatmeal, throw some oat bran in it! Sometimes I add it to whole wheat muffins or cornbread for some added fiber. I usually use like 1/4 cup for every 1 1/2 cups of flour (reduce the amount of flour)
