How long does it last? i bought it last year and was wondering if it expires?
I have half a bag and it would be a waste to throw it in the compost

I bought a 6lb bucket of Red Star recently and the sticker says exp:5/16/09,
which is a shelf life of over 2 years. If yours was well sealed, it should be fine.
Yeah, I was going to say, we buy ours in bulk, too, and use it until it's gone however long it takes. Just keep it in the coolest place possible.
