Menu ideas for first birthday party

My daughter's first birthday is in 3 weeks.
We're having her party at a local park. There will be about 7 kids age 3 and under and their respective parents in addition to her grandparents. One other set of parents/child are vegetarian, the rest are omnis. So I need some fun, kid-friendly, omni-friendly, picnic-friendly (read: easy to move/serve away from home) ideas for what to make. It's going to be at lunchtime and I will have access to a grill. I've got the dessert lined up (that one is pretty easy), but would like some suggestions from my wonderful, creative vegweb friends as to what else to serve.

I'll shamelessly plug my recipe - Main Dish Delish Summer Pasta Salad: http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=18291.0
It's easy to make ahead (in fact, it tastes better the next day!), easy to transport, makes a ton, and is omni and kid approved! All you need is to do is put it in a big tupperware bowl and bring a serving spoon so it's easy-peasy.
My mom came up with a fun idea for the kids at a family gathering a while back. For some reason I remembered her telling me over the phone.
She just bought a few pizza crusts and then just set up a pizza "buffet" sort of deal where the kids would be able to decide what goes on their pizza. And then you can just throw em in the oven!
It might be a bit messy but maybe the parents could help out.
Wedges or french fries homemade.
OR cook potato slices on the grill- my dad used to always do that for me :)
I think its good when you can make pitas or flatbread and just have fillings on the table, homemade mayo, falafles or similar, salad, gratted carrot and betroot, hommous, taziki...
You can also grill up some zuchinni and aubergine and mushrooms to add to the faltbread. Oe a good idea is kebabs with vegeables, tofu/ falafel/ cut up vegieburgers/ TVP- that has been soaked for 1 hour in boullin and water.
Make it easy on yourself. Do something you really like. Chances are everyone else will, too. Another idea is just grilling veggie burgers or hotdogs. Most people either can't tell the difference or don't care. Maybe a bean or pasta or potato salad, chips and veggies and some kind of dip. Guac, white bean and garlic, hummus.

This is really easy and good cold. Kids will eat lots.
