Hi everyone,
I saw this product online a few months back, and thought it was really interesting. It's called HuFu, and it's supposed to be vegitarian human meat. The site's down now, but the wiki had info on it too. Supposedly, it was all a scam, but I still am interested in the idea.

Call me disgusting, or whatever, but I think it's pretty funny. I have a pretty black sense of humor.
But seriously, if I was ever put into the position where I had to choose between eating an animal and eating a human. I'd eat the human. Ha ha.
What do you guys think about this?

i always joke with my friends (non-veg) and tell them that i'm going to cook them hufu. i actually plan on creating a meal where i serve hufu and not tell anyone what it is. it's quite repulsive, but absolutely hilarious at the same time. i'm almost intrigued by the mere idea!
Ahh we share the same humor.
I always tell everyone in the most serious toned voice "I said nothing about human rights.." And walk away. :)
It's a known fact that I wish to see "Vegan Serial Killer" as a headline.
apparently people taste like spam. we are a little spicy.
isn't that so wonderful of them?
i mean, to help cannibals ween themselves off of human flesh!
i remember trying to quit eating humans cold turkey
it just didnt work.
i wish there'd been something like hufu in my day!
this is quite interesting...
haha
I saw the site when it was up-- it was pretty cute. I'm bummed that they weren't serious, actually, just for the outrage and nausea it spawned in omnivores who had to think through the reasons for their prejudices.
Morally, I'd eat a human, maybe. If it were legal and not mur-diddly-urder and all that. But I think I'm skurred of catching transmittable diseases, and call me silly but I never want to eat an omnivore or anything that eats a lot of medicine (carnivores are dangerous to eat!) Most humans just flat out don't qualify as acceptable food sources for me, so I'll pass on the soilent green for a while.
;D Fun!
Sounds like someone's been reading Jonathan Swift's "Modest Proposal" too late into the night.... ::)
Hahahaha, yeah. Wouldn't baby meat be human veal?
I think it's funny how people have certain animals that they wouldn't eat. Like, they'll eat cows/pigs/chickens, but if you suggest eating a dog they get grossed out.
Meat is meat. It's all flesh.

Completly agree. People are like whaTS WRONG with eating meat. I just say would you eat your Cat or dog or someone elses? The answer is always no, but I personaly don't see the difference. I love cows i think they are beautiful, so is a dog cats I don't know about. But you know all over the world people consider different animals acceptable or not to eat. Its cultural. What is not cultural is over farming anti biotics growth hormones pesticides and all the waste that goes into farming animals for food. Did you know that like 80% or something like that of the grain that is grown in the world is grown in Africa and most of that is exported to feed animals, bloody hell and people are starving here. ok diatribe done.
Heh. Yeah.
My family is queasily fascinated with my equal willingness to accept (cleanly and humanely raised) guinea pig, goat, or whatever from my Peruvian hosts (where hospitality mattered and I suppressed my own cultural reactions to remain open minded), when I turned down (antibiotic-laden, factory farmed) chicken at home... well, to be fair, I did have pet guinea pigs as a kid so it was a question.
