how to make tahini

Hi :)
Today i made tahini with sunflower oil, but i was wondering if i can make it with olive oil?
thanks for the opinions!

I think you can make it with any vegetable oil you want.

Tahini is sesame seeds with just enough oil to get things to blend and cream, so if whatever oil you use doesn't negatively affect the flavor for you it's all good.

Given that tahini is originally from the Mediterranean basin, you can bet that olive oil is one of the original ingredients, since time was. I feel quite sure they didn't have sunflowers, back in the day.

Olve oil would be my guess as well as far as what it was originally made of.  I don't really know how long sunflowers have been a big commercial crop, but it the northern portion of Spain there ary miles and miles of sunflower fields, just like we have corn fields here in the midwest.  Thanks for reminding me.  Those always made me smile.
