Homemade V8 juice

I love V8 juice, but it is pretty expensive and I'm slowly learning to make homemade stuff.  Has anyone ever made a homemade V8 juice?  I don't have a juicer, but I do have a blender and a food processor.  Would either of these even work in making juice?

OH my gosh I JUST decided to make some at home and bought things for it yesterday!
I'm doing it because we love it but the sodium in it make us limit how much we drink.

It might be hard.... but... if I were you I'd soak & process any greens and the celery and carrots with a bit of water and then strain it all through a cheese cloth.... this will probably take some time...
and then I'd take the juice i strained out from the greens and blend that with tomatos.... ?

I do have a vitamix, which is a SUPER powerful blender. So I'm just going to blend it all and then strain it if needed. I'll let you know how it turns out. ;)
Some v8 copycat recipes suggest cooking the veggies but I want mine raw.

Hmmm.... mine came out thick like a v8 shake  ::)
It's freaking good though! I could probably add some water or something and remix
After doing it myself I would DEFINATELY do the soak and food processor method... the blender won't cut it.
I wanted it to be heavy on the spinach. But it wasn't tomatoy enough to resemble v8 so I grabbed the canned tomatoes
Here's what I used (sorry about the mixed measurements):

1 red bell pepper
8 oz. baby carrots
100 g spinach
1/2 bunch celery (with leaves)
5 medium tomatoes
1 15 oz can diced tomatoes (no salt added)
a few pieces of left over green onion
1 slice of onion
3 cloves garlic
dash crushed red pepper
salt to taste

Thanks so much JH!  The sodium was another reason I wanted to make it myself.  I will definitely be doing this as soon as I can get to the store today.  My processor is usually pretty good, so hopefully it will be good.  If not, it sounds like a good soup!

If you end up straining anything from your vegetable juice, feed the leftover pulp to your dogs (if you have them, of course). It's mostly just fiber, but our dogs lap this stuff up!
