Help me out here.........

I put this post in the cookbook lab by mistake.  If a mod wants to delete that one, it's o.k. with me.

I'm going to be the only vegan at a friends house for Thanksgiving and am bringing my own main course, which I hope will be a good side dish for others.  I'm bringing the Thanksgiving Pot Pie as found in VT:  http://www.vegetariantimes.com/content/2009-reader-recipe-winners.pdf

What I'm having trouble with are the instructions for the crust.  I've never made a pot pie in my life.  The instructions under step 6 say:" Place dough ball in plastic bag, and push out from center of ball to shape dough to size of Dutch oven or casserole dish."

I just can't visualize this.  What kind of bag?  Why not just roll it out by hand on the counter?

Wouldn't it be hard to get it back out of the bag once it's stretched out?  I would just roll it like a regular pie crust if I were you.  How could that hurt?

I'm guessing the bag works the same as wax paper/saran wrap. I agree with veggydog, just roll it out as you would with any other crust.

I'm guessing to keep it from sticking to their fingers. Just use flour if it gets to be a problem.

I just rolled mine out between 2 pieces of waxed paper and it worked great!
